Family Support Coordinator

United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee is seeking to fill the position of Family Support Coordinator. The individual who holds this position manages a contract with the State of Tennessee for the Tennessee Family Support Program in Rutherford County, Tennessee. The position is currently classified as a Permanent Part-Time Position, but there are some months when it is necessary to work up to 40 hours per week due to increased workload during these periods.
We are seeking applicants who have a combination of skills, reliable community-based connections and basic know-how. The position is a self-directed job, with considerable flexibility. Individuals who have filled this position in the past have lived in Rutherford County and worked from home. While living in Rutherford County is not an absolute requirement, we are looking for people who have strong connections to the community as well as the ability to coordinate activities and services within the community.

We are seeking applicants with the capacity to manage detailed monthly activities with established deadlines, the ability to adhere to contractual program requirements, and individuals who have a strong commitment to serving people with disabilities and their family members.

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software is a must. Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus, but not an absolute requirement, as the successful applicant will be trained in using the UCP database.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include access to paid vacation, paid sick leave, healthcare and retirement allowances. Access to a vehicle is necessary, as the position requires occasional travel. Mileage is reimbursed.
